Music

The music curriculum is based upon the Michigan Standards for Music Education and the Arts. The following music concepts are introduced in Preschool and Kindergarten, further developed in grades 1-5, and continually expanded in grades 6-8:

Rhythm
Melody
Harmony
Tone
Color
Form
Expression
Music’s role in our Catholic faith
Connection of music to world culture and other content areas
