Summer Reading 2022

Summer reading fun is here! It is of the utmost importance, this summer more than ever, that students continue reading during Summer Break.  Please help your child to prevent the “Summer Slide.” Mrs. Rohles and Ms. Veneri have finalized the Summer Reading Project for 2022. Please view the following Google Classrooms for directions, descriptions, and rubrics:

Incoming 6th Graders:

Incoming 7th Graders:

Incoming 8th Graders:
Code: b3u7smw

Students may choose any school, and grade appropriate books. Please refrain from reading the listed books that we will be reading throughout the year (listed in Google Doc). Mrs. Rohles and Ms. Veneri hope that writing skills will also be strengthened with this summer reading assignment. We encourage your students to give their best effort, and to read throughout the summer instead of cramming it into the last few weeks before it is due. The due date is AFTER labor day: September 6th, 2022.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Rohles or Ms. Veneri with any questions. Happy reading, and happy summer!

Grad at Grad

Dear Guardian Angels Catholic School Families,

We are pleased to announce that the School Improvement Team, the School Advisory Committee, and the staff of Guardian Angels have been working to define the pillars of a Guardian Angels graduate at graduation (Grad-at-Grad).  We have identified the following four pillars that we feel reflect our curricular and uniquely Catholic initiatives:

  1. Faith: our graduates will have faith as the cornerstone of their lives. It will light their paths into their high school careers and beyond.  They will model the faith-filled traits of understanding, reason, charity, and service.
  2. Love: our graduates will demonstrate love of God, love of justice, love of family, love of friends, and love of community through respect, acceptance, compassion, and empathy.
  3. Integrity: our graduates will possess high moral standards and will have a heart for honesty and justice.
  4. Perseverance: our graduates will show confidence, courage, and growth as they are academically prepared to continue their careers in high school and beyond.

This logo will not be replacing our school logo, but it will be used to guide our students throughout their academic careers here at Guardian Angels Catholic School.

A special thank you to Mrs. Kayla Adams for working so hard to design this logo with our staff!

"The Mission of Guardian Angels Catholic School is to proclaim Jesus Christ through sacraments and prayer by teaching Christ-centered values while encouraging academic excellence and social justice within our Catholic community."
